TripTrace can analyze up to 5 years of transaction history from your connected accounts, which is the standard statutory period for the N-400. The exact coverage depends on how long you've had your credit cards and how far back your bank provides digital records.

Is my data safe? Who can see it?

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using bank-level encryption. Only you can see your travel history. We never share your data with any third party, and you can delete your account and all data at any time.

Does TripTrace share my data with USCIS or CBP?

No. TripTrace never shares your information with USCIS, CBP, or any government agency. The travel history we generate is for your personal use only. You decide what to include in your N-400 application.

What happens to my data after I export?

You have 30-day access to your travel history from the date of purchase. After 30 days, your transaction data is automatically and permanently deleted from our systems. You can also request immediate deletion at any time through your account settings.

What credit cards are supported?

TripTrace works with virtually any US bank or credit card through our integration with Plaid, the same secure platform used by Venmo, Robinhood, and thousands of other financial apps. If your bank supports online banking, it likely works with TripTrace.

What if TripTrace misses a trip?

You can manually add or edit any trip in your timeline. TripTrace provides the foundation by finding trips automatically, but you always have full control to review, modify, and add entries before exporting.

Does this work for land border crossings (Canada/Mexico)?

Yes. While land border crossings don't generate flight records, TripTrace detects them through credit card transactions made in Canada or Mexico, giving you dates and locations for these trips as well.

Can I edit or add trips manually?

Absolutely. After TripTrace generates your travel history, you can review every trip, edit dates, add trips that weren't detected, or remove entries. The final export is always under your control.

Do I need to connect all my cards?

The more cards you connect, the more complete your travel history will be. If you used different cards during different trips, connecting all of them ensures nothing is missed. At minimum, connect the card you use most for travel-related purchases.
